The 1.7mm version is the slowest, with the strongest dampening. It is very well suited for passive blocking at the table, with good spin reversal and flat ball bounce, even when used with fast blades. At 1.3mm, the dampening is slightly lower, which means that the rubber can be used in a more versatile way, especially with pressure bounce.
